Promoting Health Sector Management and Governance

In this thematic area, HERAF:

  • Empowers community representatives in Community Health Units (CHU) Dispensary Management Committee (DMC), Health Centre Management Committee (HCMC), Hospital Management Board (HMB) District Health Management Teams (DHMT) to represent community interests in the design and implementation of health sector programmes at community, district and national levels.
  • Supports the community to monitor health service delivery at dispensary, health centre, district and referral hospitals
  • Increases participation of civil society organizations in district and national level health sector planning and advocacy forums.
